RepNear ("we", "our", or "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the RepNear mobile application.

1. Overview

RepNear is designed as a local-first sales companion. We do not require account registration, and we do not operate user accounts on our own servers.

2. Data Storage and Processing

Most data you enter into RepNear, including customer notes, visit history, and reminders, is stored locally on your device. We do not store this data on RepNear-controlled servers.

We may process limited, non-identifying diagnostic data (such as crash logs or performance information) provided by the operating system to improve app stability and reliability.

3. Camera and OCR Usage

RepNear may request access to your device’s camera to allow you to capture text-based information (such as business cards or documents) for your own records.

When OCR or AI-assisted processing is used:

• Images are processed on-device where possible.
• If external processing is required, only the minimum necessary data (such as extracted text) is transmitted.
• Images are not stored by RepNear after processing.

4. AI Services

Certain features may use third-party AI services (such as Google Gemini APIs) to assist with text processing or analysis.

Data sent to these services is used solely to provide the requested functionality and is handled in accordance with the third party’s applicable terms and privacy policies. RepNear does not retain this data on its own servers beyond what is required for the immediate request.

5. Local Backup

RepNear may provide local backup or export functionality that allows you to save your data as files on your device.

These backups are stored locally under your control. RepNear does not provide server-side or cloud-hosted backup services.

6. Data Sharing

RepNear does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Any data processed by third-party services is limited to what is necessary to provide app functionality and is governed by those services’ privacy policies.

7. Your Choices

You may delete your data at any time by removing it from the app or uninstalling RepNear from your device.

8. Children’s Privacy

RepNear is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
